I learned a lot about fashion and my own personal style, through blogging. A Very Sweet Blog was created in 2012, due to an interest in fashion blogs. I found fashion bloggers to be so creative, imaginative and inspiring. During this time I learned a lot about my body type, what styles and colors complimented me and things I should avoid. My closet underwent a major overhaul for many years.
The outfit I’m wearing, is a seasonal one. The colors sync well with the Fall months. I purchased these green cargo pants from Talbots this past Summer. I originally paired them with a white top. As I was looking through my closet, I felt these pants would also look great with an orange top. This orange top was originally paired with white pants for Summer. I said, “Why not transition both of these pieces into Fall?” Both colors, orange and green, look great together. So Voila!
To spice this outfit up a little, I added a little leopard (also seen in this post). I’m not a big print person, so a little goes a long way! I purchased this Talbots cross-body bag second-hand on eBay. Because I live in a warmer climate, I can get away with wearing my leopard ankle-wrap sandals. If the weather is a little cooler, I can always wear my leopard flats (also purchased second hand on eBay). I’m trying to get more uses out of the clothes in my closet, while also keeping my closet minimal.
