Suite Nights At The Windsor Court Hotel New Orleans

As I sit here in this beautiful suite, I was thinking. I was thinking, how thankful I am. I’m thankful for another birthday. I’m thankful that I have my mom here with me, to celebrate this joyous occasion. I thank God for my health, because the end of last year I had a terrible scare. Wonderful physicians and medical care have corrected that problem. I’m grateful to have a home, food and clothes. I thank God for all of his blessings and extra blessings. He’s even fulfilling dreams, wishes and desires that are in my heart. How amazing is that? How awesome is that? Always Put God First.

As you all know, life is not all peaches & cream. We experience good times. We also experience a healthy share of bad times. Many times, people don’t witness the bad times in our lives. Many times, I don’t share my bad times. I’ve had more than my share of bad times, let-downs and heartache. Whenever I shower (morning or night), I ask God to cleanse me. Send anything bad down the drain and away. I ask him to restore me with his peace, love, calmness and goodness.

As I put on my nightgown, I ask God to cover me with his blessings & love.

I ask him to protect and guide me.

It’s really weird, because I didn’t mean for this to be a religious post.

But these words just came to me. So I felt I should share them.

As I look out the window, there’s a beautiful view (see video below). You can see the Windsor Court Rooftop Pool, Harrah’s Casino (which is steps away & adjacent to the hotel), Hilton, the new Four Seasons Hotel and city lights. I’m taking it all in. It’s very quiet and peaceful in this suite. Very serene. I live for these kind of moments. It’s good to be quiet sometimes. You can think and reflect on things. When its quiet, things will come to you. It can be very therapeutic.

The hotel offers a wonderful night-time turn-down service. They close the drapes, set the lights, will get you ice and provide you with the tastiest pralines drizzled with chocolate or chocolate tablets (squares) from Le Belge Chocolatier. I’m so glad I pay attention to details. I learned something new. I’ve been calling them chocolate squares, when in actuality they are chocolate tablets. Also, when removing the wrapper, I paid attention to the inscription on the chocolate which led me to finding a new company to buy chocolate. Their chocolate is so smooth & creamy, I will definitely be ordering some.

As I slip into this beautiful bed, not only am I going to pray for myself & family, but I will also pray for you. Sweet dreams.
