Valentine’s Day Dinner At Chophouse New Orleans

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day! My mom was my Valentine and we celebrated at Chophouse New Orleans. Chophouse is the highest-rated steakhouse in New Orleans. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant, that I immediately placed it on my dreams, wish & desire list. This restaurant stays booked, so I made our reservations a month in advance. Excited to go and such a sweet Valentine’s Day treat, let me share our experience.

Upon arriving at Chophouse, I immediately fell in love with the ambiance & aesthetics of the restaurant both inside and out. I’ve always been one to pay attention to details. I’ve been that way, since I was a little girl. Do you ever just take in your surroundings and appreciate everything around you? I love the facade of the building, it’s cute green potted plants, rich black awnings and flickering lanterns. I also love their neon sign! The boldness of the words CHOPHOUSE and softness of the NEW ORLEANS script is quite complimentary.

I’m a huge fan of brick walls. There’s just something aesthetically pleasing about them, that I find so exquisite. I also delight in various types of chandeliers. The combination of both of these elements always appeals to me. Every table was graced with crisp white tablecloths. White-coat waiters were perfectly aligned awaiting each customer.

Chophouse makes you feel both cozy and comfortable. It’s not pretentious or stuffy at all. They make you feel like family. We were greeted upon arrival and promptly seated at our table. Our waitress was attentive to our needs, knowledgeable, explained things really well and made our evening special. The staff and cooks were superb. They even offer live music.

You must make reservations for Chophouse. The seating options are as follows: standard (where we sat), bar (where the piano and singer is located), outdoor (outside seating) and high top. Also bring your wallet, because it is not cheap.

The food is absolutely delicious! I ordered the filet mignon and my mom had the center cut rib-eye. Their steaks are so delicious. They’re tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Absolutely amazing. Our sides were creamed spinach, sauteed mushrooms & onions, and loaded baked potato. You can get individual size or table size portions of sides.

For dessert we indulged in their popular Giant Chocolate Cake. In my Elvis (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) voice … It’s a hunk, a chunk of chocolate-y goodness. We were given complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries, because it was Valentine’s Day. My mom also took home a slice of their key lime pie. It’s the largest slice of key lime pie I have ever seen.

My mom and I were very impressed with Chophouse New Orleans. We had such a great time. We left super full and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Treat yourself and/or someone you love, to a place that serves delicious steaks and treats you like a King & Queen. I highly recommend it and give it two thumbs up. Thanks Chophouse! I hope you had a wonderful and fun-filled Valentine’s Day. To find out more about the beautiful dress I’m wearing, click here.
