Can you recall moments in your life, when you felt like a princess? When that period of time, was absolutely magical? I recently had one of those moments. It was at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. I’ve stayed at Beau Rivage a number of times for business, weekend getaways, holidays and to attend concerts. However, despite visiting Beau Rivage numerous times, there was an area I had never seen before. An area I had never ventured into before.
Every time I visited Beau Rivage, the double doors with metal scroll-work (pictured below) always fascinated me. Like Alice in Wonderland, I wondered what was behind those doors. Their secrets made me curious and curiouser. The VIP sign neatly displayed on the wall to the side of the doors, made me feel that whatever was behind them was very beautiful. I said to myself, one day I would walk through those doors. One day, I would see what was behind them. Well, that day came for me in 2021. I couldn’t contain my excitement. There is a front VIP entrance and a side/back VIP entrance. Upon entering the front VIP entrance, a small group of concierge employees await you behind a small front desk. They greet you and promptly check you in. You feel very special. After checking in, private elevators whisk you away to the beautiful suite that awaits you. The VIP entrance located across from the casino gift shop can be utilized after leaving the casino area. It makes you feel special. You get looks from others. The same look I gave others years ago. Could I do this all the time? No. I wish. But in this moment in time, just let me enjoy it. Let me enjoy my wish … my dream … my desire fulfilled.
As I used my VIP card to open the door to The Jasmine Suite, I found it to be breathtakingly beautiful. It’s like a condo. The entire suite has a sun-kissed, beach-y color theme of teal & orange. In the living area, there’s a short entrance hallway, an L-shaped couch, white sand tables & lamps, a flat screen television (with surround sound), Keurig coffee & tea maker (bottled water & coffee is left for you daily) and inside the cabinet (to the bottom left of the television) a deluxe size mini refrigerator (see picture further below in this post). The artwork on the walls inside the suite, are so pretty. There’s a picture of a beautiful sunset. There are also several dimensional pieces of artwork located throughout the living area.
It was such an amazing feeling, waking up every morning and sitting in the living area. I enjoyed pulling the curtains back and letting the sun shine in. I would then go to the Keurig and fix myself a cup of coffee. The hotel supplies you with an assortment of Keurig cups. Every morning I would prepare a bowl of fruit to eat and pour myself a cup of juice. I bet you’re wondering if the suite has a microwave? Unfortunately, the answer is no. I wish that would change. My robe? Two Beau Rivage robes will be in the closet of your bedroom. They will amply fit all. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
Would you like to see what I saw every morning, as I looked out the curtains? Isn’t this a breathtaking view of the Gulf. The view is so relaxing. It’s so tranquil and serene. Sometimes the sky would be a bright beautiful blue with crystal white clouds. Sometimes the clouds would look like fluffy pink cotton candy. I loved looking at the glistening, shimmering water below. From the suite’s bedroom window, there was also a lovely view of Beau Rivage’s pool area. I have a video of the pool area from one of my previous visits linked below. The bedroom to the Jasmine Suite includes a chaise lounger, flat screen television, closet, built in drawers, king size bed and vanity. It has the same color scheme as the living area, teal and orange. I love that color combination. Both colors are so refreshing when paired together. I enjoyed pulling the curtains back everyday, looking at the Gulf, laying on the chaise and reading a book. There’s a lovely marble side table where you can place a refreshing drink. The bed was super comfy. I enjoyed laying in bed and watching television. The vanity area is a really nice touch. I usually lay my makeup out on the bathroom countertop. Instead, I could display my makeup here. It made getting dressed much easier. I could also do my hair here. The vanity chair was so cute, plush and comfortable. The deluxe mini-refrigerator pictured below, is located inside the cabinet beneath the flat screen television in the living room area. Pack some drink & food items.
There are two beautiful bathrooms in The Jasmine Suite. Both extend from the bedroom area. The first bathroom has a sink, toilet and jacuzzi tub. The jacuzzi tub is so relaxing. Fill it halfway with water. Pour a little bubble bath and soak your worries away. It’s very relaxing. The second bathroom has a sink, toilet and walk in shower. This walk in shower, can fit two people easily. It’s a great spa shower. I’m a huge fan of vintage movies, pictures etc. I loved the vintage pictures in both bathrooms. I loved the B&R insignia on the glass shower door.
Beau Rivage is a host to a number of restaurants. My favorite restaurants are BR Prime, Terrace Cafe and of course The Buffet. While staying there this time, I tried Stalla for the first time.
Biloxi has a number of restaurants on Beach Boulevard. I thoroughly enjoy riding up and down the Boulevard. Take in the fresh air. Enjoy the sights and attractions. A barbecue restaurant attracted my eye. A huge pig atop a car would attract anyone’s attention. The name of the restaurant is called Slap Ya Momma’s Barbeque. You’ll have to read my thoughts about this cute place. Another future adventure on my list, is to stay at the Hard Rock Biloxi Hotel. That hotel stays booked, because they have so many great restaurants there. I got a taste of it, when The Sugar Factory restaurant opened there in 2019. It’s such a whimsical restaurant. I love it. Besides the Jasmine Suite, I think one of my favorite pictures is of the shark below. I love the pink and blue colors of the building and the shark’s jaws really catches your eye.
